PENGARUH KETERSEDIAAN SARANA DAN PRASARANA TERHADAP EFEKTIVITAS PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH OLEH DINAS LINGKUNGAN HIDUP KABUPATEN KAIMANA

Abstrak

This research aims to analyze the impact of the availability of facilities and infrastructure on the effectiveness of waste management at the Environmental Agency of Kaimana Regency. Effective waste management is crucial for maintaining environmental cleanliness and health, as well as reducing pollution risks. This study uses a survey method with questionnaires covering five main indicators: the availability of Temporary Waste Storage (TPS), 3R Waste Processing Site (TPS-3R), Final Processing Site (TPA), Waste Banks, and Waste Transport Trucks. The questionnaire was distributed to the employees of the Environmental Agency and waste management workers in Kaimana Regency. The results show that the existing waste management facilities and infrastructure are still inadequate to meet the overall needs of the community. This inadequacy in facilities and infrastructure can hinder the effectiveness of waste management and negatively impact environmental quality. The Environmental Agency of Kaimana Regency needs to improve the availability and efficiency of waste management facilities and infrastructure to achieve better waste management goals.
